Dr. Jack Styles Kammer is widely known as the "Godfather
of Cosmetic Dentistry" for his leadership in founding the world's
largest dental organization dedicated to the art and science of
cosmetic dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
Through this organization, he has received accreditation and fellowship
status. He's the only AACD Fellow in Wisconsin, and one of
only 39 worldwide.
Established by Dr. Kammer in 1984, the AACD has grown to over
6,000 members in 60 countries. It strives to keep its members on
the cutting edge of cosmetic dentistry, as well as offering public
programs like a free consumer referral service and the award-winning
Give Back a Smile program, which provides cosmetic dental care for
domestic abuse survivors.
Through his hard work and dedication to the field of cosmetic
dentistry, Dr. Jack has trained thousands of dentists in techniques
which are now established by the AACD. In turn, AACD dentists have
trained thousands more dentists. Dr. Jack's contribution to dentistry
has literally helped to restore millions of smiles around the world.
With an anonymous entry in the first international competition in SMILE
DESIGN by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he was awarded
first place. A little closer to home in 2004, Dr. Jack's peers named
him one of Madison's BEST COSMETIC DENTISTS in Madison Magazine.
The Center for Cosmetic Dentistry is extremely fortunate to utilize
this celebrated experience in multifaceted cases. Dr. Jack regularly
monitors the Design, Shape and Function of cases within the practice. In
addition to his professional accolades, Dr. Jack is no stranger to his
community. His annual University Avenue Tree Lights display has become
a local tradition since 1995. Every late November for a decade, Dr.
Jack dons his 'Santa' cap for Madison by stringing over 120,000 holiday
lights on a beautiful row of 228 arborvitae trees three and a third
football fields long which run parallel to University Avenue. Dr. Jack
planted the trees eighteen years ago, and continues to maintain them
to an identical height of 6-7 feet for his impressive display each winter.
When he's not hard at work creating beautiful smiles at the Center for
Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Jack enjoys spending time with his wife of 55
years, Lois, and visiting family. He also enjoys artistic pursuits and
has been active in musical productions at the Madison Theatre Guild,
serving as its president in 1965. In the late 1950's, Dr. Jack was a
member of the "Cardinals" barbershop quartet. During his tenure, they
were Midwest Champions and finalists in the International Competition in Miami.
